Importance of Data for Energy Management

Tracking energy consumption data is critical to understanding the effectiveness of energy conservation programs and initiatives. The data must be accurate, timely and comparable from one time period to the next. Convert monthly energy consumption data to BTU’s and divide that number by the number of degree heating and cooling days in the month. This will allow for the comparison of energy usage between time periods.
